This includes a well-grounded understanding over the basic methodsof engineering (mathematics, mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics,chemistry, process engineering, materials engineering and engineeringconstruction). Moreover, basic skills in environmental assessment andenvironmental technology and particle technology, along with non-technicalsubjects, are conveyed. These provide necessary qualifications for elaboratingthe supporting processes during system development. At the skills level theBachelor degree prepares the student for a Master study or even a PhD research,too, so that after graduation also professional qualifications suitable for apotential future research career are gained.
