Satuc Cup 2015

SATUC CUP 2015 England finished in 3rd position and were awarded the Bronze medal.

The Satuc Cup 2015 in Cairo was an amazing adventure for all involved, the England team were recruited over a series of trials in the South East of England over a period of 3 months from February to May 2015, culminating with a final selection boot camp at Wembley Stadium on the 9th May.

Over 65 candidates made it through to the final selection day and despite Wembley Park Tube station being closed, every single candidate made it for the final selection trial. 16 Candidates were selected, an A and B team, who then went on to train in the lead up to the tournament in August 2015.

65 Candidates will become 8 finalists, the lucky 8 finalists will be travelling to Cairo and play for England.  A first reserve 8 will also be selected and will be invited to train with the first team, in the event of an injury of unforseen circumstance the reserve 8 will be the sole source of replacements players.

The team travelled to Egypt and placed 3rd in the tournament with the host nation Egypt winning the competition, after having knocked out England in a hard fought game that saw both teams excel.  England were coming back but ran out of time.  We were immensely proud of the team who gave their all and great ambassadors for England and their communities.
